L’Aura Rilucente came to life in the Renaissance Villa Simonetta, home to the Accademia Internazionale della Musica di Milano. Coming from four different countries the members of the ensemble are driven to unite their different personalities and temperaments in order to research and perform the musical repertoire of the 17th and 18th century.
In 2011, L’Aura Rilucente made its official debut in Ravenna with a concert for the chamber music season I Concerti dell’Accademia organized by the Accademia Bizantina.
In 2012, the group has performed during concert series such as Sommerkonzerte in der Schlosskirche Friedrichshafen, the Fringe Festival of the MA Festival in Bruges, the Fabulous Fringe of the Festival Oude Muziek in Utrecht. Being one of the winners of the “International Young Artist’s Presentation” the group was invited to showcase its work in Antwerp. Later in the same year at the Festival International de Teatro Clásico of Almagro the group presented “Perseus & Andromeda”, a baroque opera for children co-created in collaboration with theatre director Martin Butler. In the month of October 2012 they also played the opening concert of the Berliner Tage für Alte Musik.
In 2013, L’Aura Rilucente was chosen by the Centre Culturel de Rencontre d’ Ambronay as one of the “Les Jeunes Ensembles” of the year and received a residency at Ambronay. In March of the same year, they played at the REMA (Réseau Européen de Musique Ancienne) showcase in Marseille, and in May at the Monteverdi Festival in Cremona. They also performed at the 34° edition of the Festival d’Ambronay and at the Baroque Week 2013 in Bucharest, where they also taught masterclasses.
In the season 2014, the group has been again invited at the Festival d’Ambronay and in the concert series I concerti dell’Accademia in Ravenna and Bagnacavallo. In the month of November, L’Aura Rilucente played live at Radio France Musique and recorded his first CD with music of G.F. Handel and N.F. Haym, which has been released in June 2015 for the label Ambronay Éditions and presented at Festival d’Ambronay obtaining a great success of audiences and critics.
In 2015 Perseus & Andromeda was back on the scenes in Amsterdam, Antwerp and Copenhagen.
