Maximilian Ehrhardt

Was born in TMaximilian Ehrhardtettnang (Germany). After preliminary education as a young talent at the “Landes-konservatorium für Vorarlberg” (Austria) and the “Konservatorium der Stadt Zürich” (Switzerland) he studied the harp with Erika Waardenburg at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (the Netherlands) from where he graduated in 2009 with the Master’s Degree with distinctions.

He first started specializing in historical performance practice with Constance Allanic as part of his Master’s Programme. Since 2008 he is a student of Mara Galassi at the “Accademia Internazionale della Musica di Milano” (Italy), where he graduated in 2012 with the highest grades and is currently following the Master’s Programme.

Maximilian is regularly performing in solo recitals, theatre productions, baroque orchestras and chamber music ensembles all over Europe. He has worked with ensembles such as the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, the Gürzenich-Orchester of the Cologne Opera, the Sweelinck-Orchestra, L’Arpa Festante and Musica Temprana. His performances include collaborations with Sylvain Cambreling, Reinbert de Leeuw, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Gabriel Garrido, Glen Wilson and Marcello Gatti. Maximilian played concerts in the Early Music Festivals of Berlin, Utrecht and Hoorn (the Netherlands) as well as the MITO Settembre Musica Festival in Milan (Italy). He is also giving masterclasses and lectures on historical harps.
